Objective

The agency required a platform to:

• Enable mobile field workers to log inspections and reports digitally
• Eliminate manual paperwork
• Improve real-time communication with backend systems
• Map and monitor work checkpoints efficiently

PWA for Field Workers

Our custom PWA allowed field agents to:

• Log in securely via a user-authenticated system
• View assigned routes and tasks
• Create detailed work reports using a multi-step dynamic form
• Capture images on-site, crop and annotate them with a built-in editor
• Submit signatures directly on screen
• Install the app like a native application across devices (iOS, Android, desktop)
• Access site maps and annotate them interactively with work progress

This solution ensured that all activities were synchronized with the backend in real time through a secure RESTful API.

Custom Map Dashboard for Admins

On the admin side, we built a fully-featured dashboard with Google Maps integration that:

• Displays dynamic checkpoints on the map, color-coded and symbolized by type
• Enables drag-and-drop repositioning of checkpoints
• Allows direct editing of checkpoint information from the map
• Includes a Checkpoint Type Management Module to define new types with unique colors and symbols for visual clarity

Outcome
